The surprise in the playful hair babies is you don't know whether they're a boy or girl. You brush their hair out (sorta like BNG ponies) and their is either a pink or blue ribbon telling you what gender they are.

Oh Timpertie! Those are too cool! Now that I've seen the Playful Hair Pony MIB, I completely remember getting her as a kid. Once I find all of my toy brushes including my MLP ones, I'll have to remember which one belongs to her so they can be reunited at last. The kitty is a little bit freaky looking but those puppies are adorable. It looks like they have pigtails.
I had no idea there was Surprise Animals playsets, did you? I'm with Kisscurl, how on earth did you aquire them all?

Hope it's OK to bump this thread *shifty eyes*. Sorry if it's not but I wanted to answer some Q's... and, perhaps this thread may be updated in a couple of days (shhh, not saying anymore ) Red - I had no idea that playsets existed at all! But it makes sense because you sometimes receive random things with a Puppy Surprise lot like the little bonnets and such. Before this, I was like 'What the heck is that?' and (luckily) put it away in another bag. Now that I know where they came from I have put them back with all the PS stuff. Kisscurl and Red - Remember that ebay seller who was selling heaps of MOC ponies? Well, we went to pick them up and got chatting (I took my G1 book and we went through talking about the different ponies we used to have. Fun time.) anywho, I asked her about Puppy Surprise and she went and got a whole box full of these babies and sets. I was just shocked and over-the-moon about it. Also, she had a brown and white spotted Pony Surprise which she gave to me as a thank-you present for buying heaps of stuff (and, consequently, spending heaps of money).

That's incredible, Timpertie. That seller's house must have been some kind of toy heaven with MOCs and MIBs of all sorts. I ended up buying a MIB Lady Lovely Locks doll from her so I can only imagine the toys she has stored away.

Kisscurl, I haven't seen any cribs up on ebay either. I wonder if pony people have them, but don't realise they are different to the Sweet Dreams Crib?
Red, it was like... heaven. No other word describes it. There was stuff from my childhood memories everywhere. She collects LPS and has an entire glass cabinet for it. I just drooled the morning away while I was there. And the amazing part was she just wanted to get rid of it. From what I could gather, she had taken a lot of it to her local markets and sold it for like $5 (could you imagine coming across a stall like that!?! *collapses*). But she had kept some of her G1s including an Alt. BF with pen mark on it and her Princess Rinse & Spit Fakies (she laughed when I told her what we call them!). LOL.

holy crud timpertie. YOU could have come across that at the markets. I really hope some kids didn't buy the mib ponies for $5 and then debox them

So, look who arrived today, fresh from eBay... That's right, the WHOLE set. MIB. I honestly never thought I would even find out the name of these little guys, let alone have any MIB. More stuff to add to the website I guess. And, the grand total of MIB PS related items is *drumroll please* twenty!!! And, just for good measure, a pic of the back of the box. Neat how they used slightly more colourful prototypes for the photo shoot.

Oh my goodness, what a score! I'm so glad you found out what those puppies/kitties are called. I know you've been trying to find out for ages so it must be a relief to not only know but to own the proof of it. I must say though, I'd be awfully tempted to open them just to find out what toy each one had.
Now all you need are some of the dress up ones MIB. I always wanted the baseball player outfit.

I just love knowing! And to have the proof is even better! (I'm a bit scientifically-minded, so if I can see the proof I'm more likely to believe it). I know what you mean about opening them - I only have the bone and ball of string so I'd love to have the other toys but No! ;P And, yes, I need a Dress-Up pup (was outbid on ebay). I loved the Baseball Player outfit too!
