As we live just outside of Brissie, we were able to go in today and pick up the ponies that we won (see the Aussie ebay thread for further talk on that matter). They are in such good condition. Fizzy, packaged with a Baby Ribbon sticker, instead of her own... Tabby, with bonus mummy charm (Ticklish I think). Baby Sweet Stuff, with bonus mumm charm (Li'l Helper). Anywho, we asked the lady selling them about their story, as I know everyone was wondering what their deal was. She said that her mum used to buy a lot of ponies for her and her sister. However, they would only open one of the ponies (usually her sister's) and play with them, while putting the other away. She needed funds so she pulled out the ponies and other stuff she had squirrelled away. She asked me if the MIB ponies were 'hard to find or something?' I told her that it was pretty unusual to find that many in Australia. She also wanted to know why the alt. B/F went so high, so I explained it to her. (Her mum was there the whole time and she was thrilled that I was also a collector. Apparently she was sort of a collector back in the day). She also said that, out of the first lot of ponies that finished on Sunday/Monday, none left the country. Interesting stuff really.

that's really interesting. How lucky for her to have such a good way to get money when you're in dire straights, and not even realise that you're sitting on a pot of gold. It must have been such a great surprise.
My applejack arrived 2 days after I paid. Which was awesome as I live in the middle of nowhere. I also bought a teddy ruxpin off her for my son and it arrived in time for his birthday today. So that was awesome!

They are beautiful! One thing I love about collecting ponies is talking to the people selling them and finding out how they came across them. I'm glad a lot of those ponies will be staying in Australia too.
