Hey I'm Smudged, and currently in Wagga Wagga. I've been collecting ponies for about 6mnths (seriously anyway), and I will be going to the Fair in Sept. I really enjoy customising and am thinking of trying to get a table at the fair (just need to work out how many ponies I need for a decent display. Any suggestions?). Looking forwards to meeting more collectors. Cheers

hey there smudged. Welcome to the board. I'm glad you'll be coming to the fair this year. If you're a customiser have you considered talking to redd about doing a customising tutorial at the fair too?
As far as the table is concerned it depends on what you mean by a good display. Last year I probably only took 15 ponies or so, but the way I had them set up was like a little story about my little ponies.
If you want to display your customs to show what you can do I'd bring a nice range so people can see what you do. If you actually want to sell some, well bring all of those you want to sell, and if you just want to show of your collection well its really up to you how many you bring. Just keep in mind they are flat tables, and that's not the best way to display ponies, so you may not want to cram tonnes in on one table. If you're thinking of bringing loads, get a couple of tables.
I guess there is not limit to how many you do bring though as Wagga isn't too far from here.

Hey xeevee, thats for the number with ponies you took. At the moment I'm thinking of taking about 7 to sell and 3 other that I'm doing for swaps/gifts but the ship date isn't until after the fair (so 10 all up). By a decent display, I mean so it doesn't look like I'm skimping. I honestly wont be able to do any more than about 15 between now and then. If I do get a table I'll also be displaying some of Chibiskittles hand knitted pony skirts for people to buy if they like them (Displayed on some of my collection). Wagga's only 2 1/2hr drive away so I'm really not that restricted with how many I take with me which is nice Thank you for responding! See you at the fair.
