I am sooooo tired of the core seven and their ONE BORING POSE!!! I don't care if it's so they can fit their plastic clothes (fabric clothes were so much better).
So, I think we are nearing the end of the G3 line (in Australia anyway). I've noticed Kmart and Target scaling down the amount of pony space they have and the amount of ponies they have.
What do you think? Did Hasbro shoot itself in the foot by making the core seven? Or will G3s continue on regardless?

I honestly don't know .I do agree that there is only so many times as a parent you are going to buy the same pony for your child-the markings may slightly vary but honestly my daughter seems to prefer the huge variety of the G1s.I hope it's not the end and they start to mix things up a bit.

Nah, they'll give it a few years more. They've sold 100 million units since G3 was initiated so they have a tonne of motivation to re-vamp before they pack up their toys and go home Remember the problem is that Hasbro has LPS that they target for a slightly older child, so MLP is getting the crappy end of the stick as it's aiming at a very young genre.

No, and I think they are getting more and more creative with the little Ponyville sets too. Maybe they are going to go in that direction more? I agree that it is too repetitive, I just want to see something different.

guess which vote i was heheheehhe i'm sick of the core seven, i'm not sure how you can go any further with it, at least with the other sets you had thousands of ideas to come up with, although i was shocked to see big w had mlp stock the other day, its such a pity really, i wonder who thought up the core seven idea, lets find them and attack them with ponies LOL's lets hope they don't die out

I can't decide. I certainly hate ponyville and the whole dressup core seven (although I have to say I do like the ones with all the artwork on their faces and legs) but I haven't bought a new g3 since the smelly ponies. I've only been buying G1s really. I way prefer the sets with new ponies, and I hate that coathanger on their foot.
But saying that, mlps aren't really targetted at 30 year old women, so who knows
