It's funny, but even after meeting collectors and learning their real names, I still refer to them in my head as their username. This got me thinking about usernames and how you got yours.
Mine is 'timpertie', which is a change from my ebay username of 'timpersock'. It is a combination of our three dogs - TIM, JasPER and SOCKs. When I signed up at the arena, I wanted to add something ponyish, so instead of Sock, I added 'tie', from Bowtie (my favourite pony).
So, how did you choose your username??

I made up my username way back in year 10 (now I feel horribly old), so that would have been 2001. The Red part refers to my red hair and the D to my last name, which begins with the letter D. The rest just sort of follows on.
So it's not even remotely pony related. I'd change to a pony name if I could actually commit to a favourite pony. Even as a kid I couldn't make up my mind about who I liked most.

I called myself Buttons after my first and beloved REAL pony Buttons.I owned her for 25 years and sadly had to have her put to sleep last year at the grand old age of 32.Her arthritis had gotten really bad and I didn't want her to suffer any more .I loved her to bits and had lots of SS Buttons so naturally that became my user name.I'm horseygal on the arena though!

Well my username came about with out much thought really. The first part is obvious the 2nd part is because firstly I'm Wiccan and to distinguish from 'fake' magic and 'propper' magick you spell them differently and secondly all my user names have _magick on the end.

mine is a little complicated and slightly lame. When I first got the internet (something like 12 years ago now), my mail provider was marvel online, and my email was eevee@x-men.com The eevee being a pokemon that evolves into different types based on different situations. Marvel stopped providing email, so I went to yahoo, and generally I use x-eevee to keep the x- from x-men. Here and one the arena don't allow hyphens in user names so, its xeevee here. Sometimes instead of a hyphen I use an underscore.
So not vaguely pony related.

kisscurl is obviously from the u.k pony who was my very first pony that i found way back in 1996 i found her at an op shop for 50c and i still have her in my collection today as well as the alternate version so thats it, and i've always been kisscurl from way back in the early days, nothing too exciting.

I'm the most boring. I couldn't think of anything so I picked the quickest, most obvious descriptive I could and on the off chance it was taken already I added a number on the end. Lame...totally lame.

Wow! It is interesting to hear how everyone came to their username. I know there are others out there, lurking about. We want to hear how you came up with your username. Pony_magick: I don't know if you know, but I was watching 'The End of Flutter Valley' yesterday and one of the songs in there is about 'Pony magic, it's the greatest kind of magic...' lol

Mine evolved from my daughter who is the reason I started collecting in the first place. When I was pregnant my son was convinced I was having a girl, so he would call her pinky. When I started out my name was pinkypie....but i soon realised how overused pinkiepie was in the G3 line. Soooo.....I changed pinkypie to pinkstar and at first i was thinking Baby Pinkstar, but i thought Princess Pinkstar sounded better since my baby is my princess. The persona pony soon followed....which I absolutely adore to pieces. So there you go....a long story, but that's how i got my username

Kisscurl, your name has meaning! I think it's so sweet that your entire existence (well, how everyone will know you on the net anyway) has been dedicated to the sweet little Kisscurl that started it all for you.
